VA Benefits Planning & Application

 

A veteran or surviving spouse may be entitled to the tax-free “Aid and Attendance” benefit if assistance is needed for activities of daily living (walking, dressing, eating, bathing, etc.). There are qualifying service and means requirements for this special monthly pension that helps protects the hard-earned estate of our beloved veterans and their surviving spouses. We can help determine eligibility and start the process.

Tax Free
Pension Amounts

  • Married Veteran   $2,727

  • Single Veteran       $2,300

  • Surviving Spouse  $1,478

Qualifying Service

90 consecutive days of service with at least one day during a declared war period:

  • World War II: December 7, 1941 - December 31, 1946

  • Korean Conflict: June 27, 1950 - January 31, 1955

  • Vietnam War Era: February 28, 1961- May 7, 1975

  • Gulf War: August 2, 1990 - date undetermined
